Taking Care of Business: A Mini-MBA Program for the Construction Lawyer

Presented By: American Bar Association

About the Event

The Forum is pleased to invite you to the 2018 Annual Meeting in New Orleans- a city that needs no introduction. With the backdrop of the French Quarter Festival, and the excellent food and music that it offers, this program offers valuable insight on a variety of business-focused topics tailored to the construction industry. It is based on the popular “mini-MBA” model, through which participants will learn about the fundamentals of business and how they impact the practice of construction law.

Diversity Luncheon
Friday, April 13, 2018 | 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM

It certainly takes a lot of people, experience and effort to have an organization as strong as the ABA Forum on Construction Law, but it also requires the vision and guidance of strong, wise and able Forum Chairs. We are truly honored to have five diverse Chairs Emeriti of the Forum, who will each and all share their experiences with growing diversity in the industry as well as within the Forum, the importance and strength of diverse viewpoints and contributions, and really what it means to have diversity and diverse perspectives within an organization.

Our own Leadership Panel, Deborah S. Ballati, Deborah Griffin, Larry Harris, Leslie King O’Neal and Mary McElroy, collectively have over a decade of experience in leadership of the Forum and well over a century of combined experience as construction lawyers. This is truly a unique opportunity to hear what these accomplished professionals have experienced in their own travels through our organization and the construction industry and see their vision for what the future will (and should) hold for the Forum and construction lawyers.
