About the Event

The 2019 theme for the Gala is “Langston is Family: Looking Back, Looking Forward, Looking Out”. In addition to the installation of officers and board members, the Gala will honor four incredible 2019 Honorees: Tina Perry, EVP, Business & Legal Affairs for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network; the Honorable Kevin Brazile, the first African American Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court; the Honorable Karen Bass, Chair, Congressional Black Caucus; and the law firm of Covington & Burling. This gala is their largest fundraiser of the year, and funds raised help support scholarship awards, as well as other programming for the year.
