Join JAMS Seattle as we highlight the Section of Dispute Resolution of the ABA’s 2015 Mediation Week. This year’s theme is “Mediation: Successes, Challenges, Trends and the Next Generation: Looking to the past, present and future.” We invite you to hear from two members of our distinguished panel to discuss specific issues in mediation and ADR in two concurrent CLE sessions and then join us for a reception following the programs in the JAMS Seattle Resolution Center.

Ethical Dilemmas in ADR

Advocacy and zealous representation of clients can sometimes create challenging or conflicting situations. This program will explore the ethical boundaries of those situations and will give practical tips on how to deal with them.

Making Mediation Work: Tips from the Trenches and Best Practices to Settle Personal Injury Cases

Hear from a King County retired judge and two practicing attorneys with views from both sides of the bar, on best practices to settle personal injury cases. Topics will include preparing your client(s), insurance representatives, and the mediator; timing of the mediation; open communication in order to navigate through impasse; and creative solutions.
