Hon. Laurence K. Sawyer (Ret.) Honored by Sonoma County Bar Association

Awards
Santa Rosa, Calif. – JAMS is proud to announce that Hon. Laurence K. Sawyer (Ret.) will be honored at the Sonoma County Bar Association’s 20th Annual Careers of Distinction Dinner in recognition for his distinguished career as a jurist and ADR professional. The dinner will be held on October 19 at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Sonoma County Bar Association,” said Judge Sawyer. “I’ve had the pleasure of serving the people of Sonoma for many years and working with parties to resolve their disputes. It has been, and continues to be, an incredible career and I’m thrilled to receive this distinction.”

Judge Sawyer joined JAMS after serving on the Sonoma County Superior Court for 20 years where he settled and managed numerous complex, multiparty litigation matters. Since joining JAMS, he has developed a practice that includes mediations and arbitrations in Construction Defect, Employment, Estates/Probates/Trusts, Personal Injury and Real Property. He is known for being thorough, fair and efficient.

Other JAMS recipients of this award include Hon. William L. Bettinelli (Ret.). In addition to the honorary dinner, the Sonoma County Bar Association will publish a special issue of the SCBA Bar Journal to feature articles on each honoree, a history of the Careers of Distinction Awards program and pictorial of all past recipients.
