Minnesota – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that Hon. James M. Rosenbaum (Ret.) was honored by Minnesota Lawyer with an “Outstanding Service to the Profession” award at the 2012 Attorney of the Year ceremony on February 21.
Each year, Minnesota Lawyer recognizes the best achievements in the Minnesota legal profession with the Attorneys of the Year awards. This year’s attorneys were chosen based on their leadership, involvement in major cases or other newsworthy events, excellence in corporate or transactional services and public service. The nominations were submitted by judges, bar groups, clients and fellow attorneys. The honorees come from diverse practice groups including criminal law, litigation, public service, intellectual property and in-house legal departments.

Judge Rosenbaum served for 25 years on the federal bench as a United States District Court Judge for the District of Minnesota and for the four years prior, as Minnesota’s United States Attorney. He joined JAMS in 2010 and specializes as a mediator, arbitrator and discovery referee in matters including business/commercial, civil rights, class action/mass tort, environmental, employment, intellectual property and securities.
