JAMS Hosts 2014 Mediation Week Events

Events

IRVINE, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, announced its participation in the ABA’s 2014 Mediation Week. JAMS will host complimentary CLEs and events throughout the week of October 13. The ABA Mediation Week initiative celebrates the strides made to institutionalize mediation as one of several appropriate dispute resolution processes.

The theme for the 2014 ABA Mediation Week is “Stories Mediators Tell—From Rookie to Veteran, Exploring the Spectrum of Mediation.” This year’s theme seeks to recognize and share inspirational stories of practitioners in the field who want others to experience the art of mediation. Their stories share advice on how to handle certain situations, share what mediation is about and share how certain situations were handled.

“JAMS has been an avid proponent of the ABA’s campaign to promote mediation,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “This is an excellent effort from the ABA and we’re proud to do our part.”

JAMS is partnering with local bar associations and community organizations with events scheduled in Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, New York, Orange County, Silicon Valley and more. A full list of events, speakers and locations can be found on the JAMS website at www.jamsadr.com/mediationweek2014.
