San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Shirish Gupta to its panel. Shirish will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center and serve as a mediator and arbitrator throughout California. His specialties include resolving Business/Commercial, Employment, Financial Markets, Health Care, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Professional Liability and Securities disputes.
Prior to joining JAMS, Shirish practiced with Mayer Brown, Howard Rice and Flashpoint Law. He has several years of experience as a successful neutral, as well as a decade and a half of experience as a litigator at top law firms and as a solo practitioner. Shirish is known for his legal acumen and economic prowess, which makes him particularly adept at diving into complex financial/technical disputes, including patents, securities & accounting and class actions.
In 2013, Shirish’s mediation skills were recognized when he was recruited to mediate Superstorm Sandy insurance coverage claims in New York.

Shirish received his B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at UC Hastings College of the Law, where he teaches Negotiation. In the fall, Shirish will be the Co-Chair of the California State Bar Council of Sections.
