Patricia Gillette, Esq. Joins JAMS in San Francisco

New Panelist Announcement

SAN FRANCISCO – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Patricia Gillette, Esq. to its panel. Ms. Gillette will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center and serve as a mediator in employment disputes.

Ms. Gillette joins JAMS following a successful career as a trial lawyer and mediator. When she was in practice, Ms. Gillette focused on all aspects of employment law, including litigation of wrongful discharge and discrimination class actions and individual/multi-plaintiff cases in both state and federal court, representation of employers before administrative agencies and counseling and training employers on preventive personnel practices.

She has knack for breaking through the barriers that often impede settlement efforts, by inspiring the parties to think differently about how to realize their goals.

Ms. Gillette is the co-founder of the Opt-In Project, a nationwide initiative focused on changing the structure of law firms to increase the retention and advancement of women in the workplace and has been recognized on several occasions for her contributions to women in the profession.

“Her intuitive skills as well as her capacity to problem-solve gives her the ability to see all sides of an issue and to find workable and fair solutions,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “She is very well respected by both sides of the bar and we’re thrilled to have her join us.”

“It is truly a privilege to be able to help clients resolve their important cases,” said Ms. Gillette.  “What I enjoy most about this work is finding a way to make a meaningful connection with the parties so that we can find common ground and reach resolution. I’m excited to start this next chapter of my career.”

Ms. Gillette received her A.B. from Occidental University and her J.D. cum laude from University of San Francisco School of Law.
