New Panelist Announcement

CHICAGO – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Eileen M. Brewer (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Brewer will be based in the JAMS Chicago Resolution Center. She will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Civil Rights, Construction, Employment, Family Law, Government/Public Agency, Personal Injury/Torts and Professional Liability.

Judge Brewer joined JAMS after nearly 30 years of public service to Chicago and Cook County, including 14 years as an Illinois State Court Judge in the Law and Domestic Relations Divisions of the Cook County Circuit Court. She presided over thousands of civil cases in pretrial and trial stages. For the last seven years, she served as Cook County Law Division’s Motion Call Judge, managing thousands of complex cases that touched upon nearly every aspect of civil law. Bar associations have consistently praised Judge Brewer’s scholarship, first-rate legal ability and judicial temperament.

“Judge Brewer has an excellent reputation for quickly analyzing complex legal and factual issues, diffusing emotionally charged situations and gaining the trust of clients and lawyers,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have her join us in Chicago.”

“I have long used ADR while on the bench and believe it offers parties a valuable alternative to litigation,” said Judge Brewer “I am excited to join the panel of immensely talented neutrals in Chicago and I look forward to working with attorneys to create the best resolutions possible for their clients’ disputes.”

Judge Brewer received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Ph.D. from University of Chicago.
