Conna Weiner, Esq. Joins JAMS in Boston

Experienced General Counsel joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master

New Panelist Announcement

BOSTON – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Conna A. Weiner, Esq. to its panel. Ms. Weiner will be based in the Boston Resolution Center and serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Employment, Health Care, Intellectual Property and International Pharmaceuticals/Mass Tort. She will be available for matters nationally and internationally.

Ms. Weiner joins JAMS after more than 20 years fielding diverse, complex issues for multinational life sciences companies in the U.S. and abroad, including as a General Counsel. Most recently, Ms. Weiner has served as an independent arbitrator and mediator on a number of well-known national and international provider panels, with a complex case specialization in biotech, life sciences (pharmaceuticals, devices, diagnostics), health care and other commercial matters.

Ms. Weiner couples the ability to listen fairly and cut through to the heart of a problem with a vigorous project-management approach to arbitration and mediation. We know she will make a wonderful addition to our panel and we are excited for her to join us in Boston.

-Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO

Ms. Weiner began her career as a litigator at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York. Upon her departure, she took on U.S. and global in-house roles at Novartis, Shire Human Genetics Therapy and Mylan, Inc. She has special expertise in the full range of unique legal issues facing innovation companies, including every phase of product research, development and commercialization. Her experience also encompasses virtually every area of law that crosses a generalist inside counsel’s desk, including employment/HR counseling and numerous vendor/consultant/commercial issues, including IT, facilities, leasing and other issues.

Through my previous experience as a litigator, inside counsel and neutral, I’ve come to understand business and the true cost to companies and individuals of unnecessary conflict escalation. I appreciate the long-term effect of litigation on business relationships and strive to help parties with a knowledgeable, customized and efficient approach to mediation and arbitration. I look forward to joining the talented JAMS team in Boston and continuing my work as a neutral.

-Conna A. Weiner, Esq., JAMS Mediator, Arbitrator, and Special Master

Ms. Weiner received her B.A., with highest honors, from Oberlin College and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
