Moreno (Ret.) has been awarded the 2018 Trailblazer of the Bar Award by the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Justice Moreno received the award on June 27 at the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s 2018 Installation & Awards Reception.
The award is selected by the Senior Lawyers Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association to recognize pioneering lawyers and judges who have made outstanding contributions to the law and legal community, who have broken barriers, and who have forged a path for other lawyers. It has been awarded annually since 1969.
This is a terrific acknowledgement of the positive contributions made by Justice Moreno throughout his impressive legal career. We congratulate him on receiving this esteemed award.

Justice Moreno joined JAMS after a distinguished 25-year career on the judiciary, including 10 years on the California Supreme Court where he authored over 140 majority opinions on a wide range of precedent setting cases for LGBT rights, arbitration, and insurance policy coverage. In his diverse ADR practice, he serves as a mediator, arbitrator, special master and neutral case evaluator to resolve Appellate, Business/Commercial, Civil Rights, Employment, Insurance and Intellectual Property matters, among others.
