CHICAGO – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that Patricia Gillette, Esq. will receive the Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award, in recognition of her dedication to advancing women in the legal industry. Ms. Gillette will receive the honor at the American Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Chicago on August 5. 

Presented annually since 1991, the Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award recognizes up to five outstanding women lawyers who have achieved professional excellence within their area of specialty and have actively paved the way to success for other female lawyers. Ms. Gillette was selected because of her passion for changing the way women’s roles are thought of in the legal industry and promoting the value of diversity in the workplace.

Ms. Gillette joined the JAMS San Francisco panel in 2016, following a successful career as a top-rated trial attorney and mediator, specializing in employment law.  She is the co-founder of the Opt-In Project, a nationwide initiative focused on changing the structure of law firms to increase the retention and advancement of women in the workplace. She has committed her legal career to helping organizations expand the way they think about diversity and how it is incorporated into their culture.
