Atlanta – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Cynthia D. Wright, Senior Judge, to its panel. Judge Wright joins JAMS following two decades on the bench in Fulton County Superior and State courts, including two successful terms as chief judge. Judge Wright’s judicial service also encompasses 12 years in the family law division and thousands of civil cases spanning the areas of civil rights, education, employment and business, as well as cases involving governmental entities.
Judge Wright will be based in the Atlanta Resolution Center and serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in a number of specialized areas, including business/commercial, civil rights, education, employment, insurance, family law, government, intellectual property and professional liability.
Judge Wright has a unique ability to see the big picture, even in the most contentious and complex disputes. Her professionalism, as well as her creative approach, has resulted in successfully facilitating settlement discussions, which is a skill set that she can transfer easily to her new role at JAMS.

Prior to serving in the judiciary, Judge Wright had a diverse legal career in both the public and private sectors. Judge Wright was chief counsel and assistant counsel to two Georgia governors. Her signature accomplishment as chief counsel was drafting legislation establishing the Georgia Lottery. Her legal career as a public servant also includes time as a hearing officer for the Georgia Office of Fair Employment Practices (now the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity).
Judge Wright also served as counsel to the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority, a public corporation that sells securities for financing low- and moderate-income apartments and provides funding for first-time homebuyers. Her private sector experience includes both large and small firms. Most recently, Judge Wright expanded the mediation and arbitration practice at Boyd Collar Nolen Tuggle & Roddenbery.
I have the utmost respect for counsel and litigants, and I continually strive to create an atmosphere of understanding and patience to help everyone see a clear path forward. My experience, coupled with the skills I’ve developed throughout my career, has brought me to this exciting point as a neutral with JAMS.

Judge Wright received her B.A.from Wesleyan College, magna cum laude, and she earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
