Experienced attorney joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master

New Panelist Announcement

San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Deborah S. Ballati, Esq. to its panel. Ms. Ballati will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center. She will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Construction, Engineering, Government/Public Agency and Insurance.

Ms. Ballati has been an attorney for more than 42 years dealing in civil and commercial matters and developed an expertise in construction and insurance coverage disputes.

As a litigator, Ms. Ballati represented parties in the construction industry, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, sureties and design professionals. She has substantial experience with delay and defect claims arising out of commercial and residential construction projects, in addition to contract drafting negotiations and related insurance matters. 

Ms. Ballati has also represented policyholders in pursuing coverage under all types of insurance policies, including primary and excess general liability, environmental, property, professional liability and employment practice liability policies.

Deb has developed an impeccable reputation among attorneys on both sides of the aisle. Her ability to build relationships and bridges with the key players make her an excellent addition to our panel. We look forward to her joining us in San Francisco.

Ms. Ballati received her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Ms. Ballati served as the first female president of American College of Construction Lawyers.
